Walking, tracking, canoeing and observing predator hunts in a well-preserved, isolated landscape devoid of other tourist vehicles is what awaits the enthusiast.

Further south-east, Makgadikgadi is an absorbing add-on to the big game areas, offering walking in meerkat territory, enormous white salt pans and a rich bushmen culture. The pristine desert regions of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and Nxai Pan offer a lesser-known migration of herbivores in the Green Season, when large herds move through.
A more expansive ecosystem, the Central Kalahari rewards the persistent traveller with rewarding wildlife encounters and a very authentic Bushmen culture.
